Description
Description
Kartboy's standard short shifter for the 2008–2014 WRX (GR/GV), plus the Legacy GT, Outback XT and Forester of the same era. Shorter throw and a knob that sits about an inch lower.
What you get
- Up to 40% less shift throw, per Kartboy
- Shift knob sits about 1 in. lower
- CNC-machined, TIG-welded 4130 chromoly steel
- Direct swap for the factory shifter; about 30 minutes with hand tools, per Kartboy
- Made in the USA
- Part number: KB-001-LEG
Fits
- 2008-2014 Subaru WRX (GR/GV)
- 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy GT
- 2005-2009 Subaru Outback XT
- 2006-2013 Subaru Forester
- 2013-2017 Subaru Crosstrek and 2012-2023 Impreza (also listed by Kartboy)
Good to know
Kartboy lists the WRX for this part, not the STI. If the factory bushings are worn, look at the shifter and bushing combo (KB-9005).
