A cat-back or axle-back changes the sound and runs fine on the stock tune. Anything ahead of the catalytic converters, like a downpipe, J-pipe or up-pipe, changes how the turbo behaves and needs a matching map. Catless parts are for off-road use only, so check the emissions notes on each listing for your state.
Replacing a downpipe on an older car? Buy new gaskets with it. The old ones rarely seal a second time.
