Every WRX and STI comes with a top-mount intercooler under the hood scoop. A bigger top-mount keeps the stock layout and is the simple upgrade once you are tuned and making more boost. A front-mount moves the core to the bumper and needs new piping. Either way, expect to revise the tune afterward. A hood scoop splitter is a cheap way to get more air across the stock or upgraded core.
